Facebook Ads

Meta Ads campaigns and performance.

Facebook Ads Manager (part of the Meta ecosystem) is where you manage paid ads on Facebook and Instagram.

What it covers

Performance and efficiency of your paid campaigns on Meta: reach, clicks, conversions, costs, and return.

Feeds the Paid group of Pulse, alongside Google Ads.

The connection is read-only — we never change campaigns, budgets, or creatives.

Prerequisites

  1. A Meta Business Account with at least one ad account associated.
  2. At least “Read” access to the ad account.
  3. Pixel or Conversions API configured if you want to read conversions and ROAS.

If you manage ads through a Business Manager, log in with the Facebook account that has access to the Business Manager.

How to connect

  1. In Integrations, click Facebook Ads Manager.
  2. Log in with your Facebook account (not Instagram).
  3. Authorise read-only access.
  4. Choose the ad account you want to connect.
  5. Done. Syncing begins.

The first sync pulls up to 13 months of history, depending on what Meta provides.

Common issues

  • “I can’t see the ad account”: check at business.facebook.com that you have access to the account. If you were removed recently, you may need to be re-added.
  • “Permissions error”: your role on the ad account must be at least “Analyst”.
  • “Conversions at zero”: conversion tracking depends on the Pixel or Conversions API configured in Meta. Without it, we see clicks but not what happened next.
  • “App not verified” during login: this warning appears while we finalise official verification with Meta. You can continue — the access is read-only, as with any integration.
  • “Sync is slow”: large accounts (lots of history or many active campaigns) take longer on the first sync. Subsequent ones are faster.
